Mis-Sold Yell Advertising
A chap who was mis-sold Yell Advertising recently got in touch.
In summary, he was told by a Yell.com smooth talking sales rep that he could cancel the advertising at any time, but has since found out that he can’t!
Everytime he tries to get in contact with the sales rep busy and doesn’t return his calls. He’s now sitting on a bill of over £700.00 and doesn’t know what to do.
Are you in the same situation? Why not write to the Yell CEO John Condron and explain your problem? You may also want to advise them that you will stop all direct debit payments until the problem is resolved.

Just for the record i to have a complaint with these people, we took out advertising with yell.com and cancelled it in june.I recieved a phone call last night from a debt collecter ncso claiming yell.com have been un succesful in recieving payment from the months may – august therefore they have passed the debt over to us. I explained to them that there must be a mistake. I then got in touch with yell.com who stand by never recieving written conformation to say we wanted to cancel and the debt still stands! . Needless to say im furious that we had no letters prior from yell to ask us for a payment, although they claim they sent several?!. We now owe them £145 plus debt collecters admin fees of £40!, to add to that if its not paid in full by the end of today these charges will multiply until we pay. My advice is dont ever advertise with them and if you do always do it in writing, keep a photocopy and whatever you do make sure all correspondence to them is recorded delivery.
